Fall Rally in Lindsborg KS!!
Lions from across Kansas are invited to a new event—Fall Rally—on October 24 and 25 in the central Kansas community of Lindsborg. Come for workshops to elevate your service, hone your leadership skills and grow in your Lions journey. Come for fun and fellowship with Lions from across the state. Come to experience all the charm this community with deep Swedish roots has to offer.
This event replaces Mid-Winter Rally, held for many years in January. The event will be held in the J.O. Sundstrom Conference Center, a historic building in the heart of downtown Lindsborg. On the Agenda Plan for a weekend of fun and learning. Come early on Friday and stroll the picturesque downtown full of working artist studios, galleries, boutiques, Scandinavian import shops and top-notch eateries lining the red brick street.
Take the Swedish Scavenger Hunt, walk the Välkommen Trail, visit the historic Smoky Valley Roller Mills—just a sampling of things to see and do in Lindsborg. For more ideas, visitlindsborg.com has a wealth of information. Both the Kansas Lions Foundation and Kansas Lions Band Foundations will meet Friday night in the Conference Center. Saturday offers a full day of activities, starting with a STRIDES walk at 8 am. A variety of learning opportunities (see page 8-9) start at 9 am. Enjoy a Swedish-inspired luncheon and entertainment by the The Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers. The Second State Council meeting at 3 pm caps off the day.
Band Auction
The Kansas Lions Band Foundation fundraising auction will be held on Saturday morning, beginning at 11 am. Donations of theme baskets, handmade treasures, seasonal decorations,
baked goods, jams and jellies and much more will be auctioned, with all proceeds benefiting the Kansas Lions Band Foundation. Donations for the auction are gratefully accepted on the day of the event. For more information, contact PDG Willie Tolle at tollehouse@mktelco.com or 620-345-8346.
